We would like to thank you for your presence at this 31st Seminar of the Thematic Network for Mobile Communications (RTCM). The event had about 100 registrations and 50 participants on average throughout the event.

Keynote Speakers
Luis M. Correia – IST/INESC-ID/INOV – Universidade de Lisboa, Lisboa, Portugal
Bio: Luis M. Correia holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from IST, where he is a Professor in the field of mobile and wireless communications, developing research activity at INESC-ID/INOV. He has been a consultant for mobile communications operators, in addition to ANACOM and other public and private entities, and was a member of the EID’s Board of Directors. He has participated in 32 European projects of various framework programmes, having coordinated 6. He has supervised more than 220 Masters and Doctoral students. He has published over 500 articles in national and international journals and conferences. He has taught more than 60 professional training courses for public institutions and companies and for doctoral students at national and international levels. He has been part of more than 70 project and institutional evaluation committees for the European Commission and funding agencies in 12 countries. He has served as Conference Chair, Technical Committee and Advisory Committee for over 20 major international conferences. He is an Honorary Professor at the Technical University of Gdansk (Poland) and received the EURAAP Award for “Leadership in the field of propagation in mobile and wireless communications” in 2021.
Miguel Capela, ANACOM – Spectrum Planning and Engineering Expert
Bio: Miguel Capela, is working in Spectrum Planning and Engineering since 2000 in the Portuguese Regulator ANACOM (Autoridade Nacional de Comunicações). He has a degree in Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering granted by Universidade de Aveiro in 2000, a post-graduate degree in mobile communications granted by Universidade de Aveiro in 2002 and a post-graduate degree in Telecommunications and Information Technologies granted by Instituto Superior Técnico (Lisboa) in 2010. In CEPT he was and is participating in several CEPT groups (e.g., SRD/MG, EFIS/MG, ECC PT1) including IMT activity and was technical secretary of ECC TG6 on Long Term Vision UHF. In BEREC he was participating in several groups including the Expert Working Group on Wireless Network Evolution.
Invited Talk
Augusto Fragoso (General Director of Information and Innovation, ANACOM) and José Pedro Borrego (Deputy General Director of Information and Innovation, ANACOM)
Bio: Augusto Fragoso has a degree in Computer Sciences and Management, with a postgraduate degree in Senior Management in Information Systems, Leadership and Digital Transformation. He collaborated nationally and internationally in several companies and large-scale projects, having in recent years developed his action in the regulatory context, at ANACOM. He continues to learn and to add to a growing experience of more than 30 years in management, consulting, research and teaching in the context of innovation, information systems and digital transformation. His continuous objective is to share knowledge and deliver Systems based on an innovative approach, bringing real value to the person, the organization and society.
Bio: José Pedro Borrego has a degree and a Master’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, a PhD in Electrotechnical Engineering in the area of radio systems, and a postgraduate degree in Management.Over the last few years, he has developed his professional activity in the area of Spectrum Management at ANACOM. He has been coordinating innovation projects and participating in international organizations, being currently the President of the Portuguese Committee of the International Radioscientific Union (URSI).

A Comissão Organizadora convida-vos à submissão de trabalhos para apresentação no 31º Seminário da Rede Temática de Comunicações Móveis (RTCM). Os trabalhos podem ser apresentados em sessão oral, poster ou demonstração.
A RTCM é uma rede de interesse em telecomunicações aberta a investigadores, profissionais da área e outros interessados, que realiza seminários duas vezes ao ano para partilhar experiências e resultados.
O 31º Seminário da RTCM terá lugar no dia 04 de fevereiro de 2022 na Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP). O formato do evento está dependente da evolução da situação pandémica.
As submissões deverão estar enquadradas em tópicos da RTCM ou afins.

The Organizing Committee invites you to submit relevant work to the 31st Seminar of the Mobile Communications Thematic Network (RTCM). We accept oral presentations, poster or demo sessions.
The RTCM is a group with interest in telecommunications, open to researchers, industry professionals and other interested parties, that holds seminars twice a year to share experiences and results.
The 31st RTCM Seminar will take place on February 4, 2022 at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. The event format is dependent on the evolution of the pandemic situation.
The submitted works should be within the scope of the areas addressed by RTCM.
DEADLINE: January 14 21, 2022 (new deadline). CLOSED
